Temporary Fixed Electricity Price

The Ontario Government has taken steps to hold the price of electricity at 8.5 ¢/kWh, for electricity used from January 1 until the end of the day on January 28, 2021. Residential, small business and farm customers on Time-of-Use and Tiered price plans, set under the Ontario Energy Board’s Regulated Price Plan, will pay that fixed price.  The price change will happen automatically. No customer action is required.  Frequently-Asked Questions About the Temporary Fixed Electricity Price

Important Note: Eligible Energy+ customers can expect to see the temporary rate on bills issued from last week in January to last week in February 2021. The temporary new rate will only appear on a customer bill, once the electricity is actually used, starting January 1, 2021 to January 28, 2021.

Fraud Alert

Be aware that there have been reports of fraudsters trying to take advantage of electricity customers during this COVID-19 pandemic. Please note that Energy+ never threatens immediate disconnection and will never ask a customer to call a 1-800 number to make a payment.
