If your vehicle makes contact with a downed power line

Stay inside the vehicle until help arrives. If your vehicle is on fire and you must get out, jump out with your feet together and shuffle away. If you cannot shuffle the 10 metres (33 feet, or the length of a school bus) from the energized area, put your feet together and hop - but do not walk or make contact with the ground and your vehicle at the same time.
