Have your name added to the list of customers who rely on medical equipment that requires electricity.

For some of our customers, a power interruption may mean they need to make back-up plans to ensure equipment important to their well-being keeps working. Sometimes the power supply is affected by unplanned interruptions outside of our control, such as extreme weather, vehicle accidents or equipment failure. Other times outages are due to planned maintenance and repair work. Where possible, we will try to contact customers who need electricity for medical reasons, to notify them of the outage. If the length of an outage will be extreme, these customers may need to make other arrangements.

Give us another name to contact in the event there is a problem with your account and you are unavailable.

Do you know someone who has difficulty paying their power bills on time due to health or language problems? Are there people you know who could misplace or misunderstand a collection notice? Have you ever gone on vacation and forgotten to arrange payment of your hydro bill? If so, we offer a service that gives you peace of mind.

Think of it Like a Buddy System

Our Third Party Notification program gives us someone else to contact in the event of a problem with your account. Should a payment problem arise, your "buddy" acts as a go-between to explain the situation or help make satisfactory payment arrangements.

  • A buddy can be a relative, friend or even a trusted neighbour
  • Your buddy is in no way responsible for payment of your bill
  • Getting in touch with your buddy may help us to settle a problem and eliminate an unnecessary power disconnection

Please note that we require a signature from both you and your buddy in order to sign up for the program.
