GrandBridge Energy's (formerly Energy+) distribution rates and services are regulated by the Ontario Energy Board, an independent provincial government agency. At any time, our utility may have one or more applications before the OEB, and may be participating in other OEB-sponsored proceedings.

Renewed Regulatory Framework 

As part of the OEB's  Renewed Regulatory Framework for Electricity Distributors: A Performance-Based Approach, GrandBridge Energy's Application must demonstrate it supports the four (4) key objectives :

  1. Customer Focus: services are provided in a manner that responds to identified customer preferences;
  2. Operational Effectiveness: continuous improvement in productivity and cost performance is achieved; and the utility delivers on system reliability and quality objectives;
  3. Public Policy Responsiveness: utility delivers on obligations mandated by government (e.g., in legislation and in regulatory requirements imposed further to Ministerial directives to the Board); and
  4. Financial Performance: financial viability is maintained; and savings from operational effectiveness are sustainable.

Major Events

After a major event such as a large-scale power outage, GrandBridge Energy (formerly Energy+) compiles a report which is filed with our regulator, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), normally within 60 days of occurrence.  These reports outline our response to major events. Below are all Major Event Response Reports that have been filed with the OEB since this requirement came into effect on May 3, 2016.
