Energy+ is boosting the United Way Waterloo Region Communities COVID-19 Community Response Fund and the United Way Brant with a $20,000 donation to assist our most vulnerable citizens across the Energy+ service territory in Cambridge, North Dumfries and Brant County. In addition to individual employee and board member donations, Energy+ corporately matched individual donations, dollar-for-dollar.

The Government of Ontario has introduced a COVID-19 Recovery Rate of 12.8 cents/kWh for all time-of-use (TOU) electricity customers, to support Ontarians as it restarts the economy. Households, farms and small businesses who pay time-of-use electricity rates will be charged this fixed rate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, starting June 1, 2020.

The Government of Ontario announced that it is extending emergency electricity rate relief to families, farms and small businesses until May 31, 2020 during the COVID-19 outbreak. Customers who pay time-of-use electricity rates will continue to be billed at the lowest price, known as the off-peak price of 10/1 cents/kWh, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
